Former Senior Director Health KMC Dr. Bhirbal murdered in a targeted killing
Former Senior Director of Health KMC Dr Bhirbal was murdered in a targeted killing in Karachi on Thursday.
A retired director of the Karachi Municipal Corporation, Eye Specialist Dr Birbal has been shot dead near Lyari Expressway Garden Interchange on Thursday evening.
His assistant Dr Qurat-ul-Ain is reported to have been injured in the attack.
CCTV footage from the spot of the incident reveals that the attack was said to be a targeted killing that claimed the life of Dr Birbal Genani.
An eye surgeon Dr Birbal Genani has been killed and a lady doctor sustained injuries in a gun attack by unidentified assailants on Garden Lyari Expressway Karachi. Dr Birbal Genani practised in North Karachi and had worked in various roles including the director of health services at KMC and the medical superintendent of the Spencer Eye Hospital.
In December 2022, Dr Birbal Genani and his daughter Sapna Kumari graduated with a Master in Business Administration from JSMU, together.
