Hajj 2023: Millions of Muslims perform Waqoof e Arafaat
On the 9th Dhul-Hijjah, pilgrims travel to the plains of 'Arafat, where they will combine their Dhuhr and Asr prayers and then spend the entire day in prayers.
Millions of Muslims performed Waqoof e Arafaat on Wednesday, and the Soul-stirring Hajj sermon was delivered at Masjid e Nimra at Mount Arafat.
Imam e Kaaba Sheikh Dr. Yusuf bin Muhammad bin Saeed delivered the Hajj sermon from Nimra Mosque in Arafat.
The Hajj sermon was also broadcast live on TV which was heard by millions of pilgrims and Muslims around the world.
After performing the Hajj’s Grand Ritual of Arafa in the valley of Arafat, the pilgrims will perform the Zuhr and Asr prayers together after listening to the Hajj sermon from Nimra Mosque.
Pilgrims will spend the whole night in Muzdalifah under the open sky praying and doing remembrance and they will also collect pebbles to perform Rami al-Jamarat.
On 10 Dhul-Hajj, after Fajr prayer, they will return to Mina from Muzdalifah and follow the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim, perform Rami-Jamrat, sacrifice after pelting the devil with stones, and after the sacrifice, the pilgrims will take off Ihram and circumambulate by shaving their hair. Pilgrims will go to Masjid al-Haram for pilgrimage, pilgrims will go to Kaaba and perform the Tawaf pilgrimage and return to Mina and spend the days of Tashreeq.

The translation of the Hajj sermon was broadcast live in many languages of the world including Urdu.
While giving the Hajj sermon, Sheikh Dr. Yusuf bin Muhammad said, O believers, fulfill the orders of Allah in matters of this world and the Hereafter. Allah has forbidden division. There is none worthy of worship except Him, all things must come to an end except Allah.
Sheikh Yusuf bin Muhammad said: Prayers should be performed, Zakat should be given, help to the poor was ordered, Hajj is also one of the pillars of Islam, worship Allah as if He is watching you, an Arab is not a foreigner. But the foreigner does not have superiority over the Arabic, just as the sanctity of this month is the sanctity of life and property, the day and night are the signs of Allah, hold fast to the rope of Allah, to protect the boundaries of Allah. It means that we should worship only Allah, every prophet gave the same invitation that worship only Allah, prayer, fasting, zakat, and Hajj have been ordered by Allah.
Shaykh Yusuf bin Muhammad while giving the Hajj sermon said: Allah is Great and Wise, Allah Almighty has forbidden division, the importance of unity has been described in the Qur’an, only in unity is prosperity in the affairs of religion and worldly affairs. It is important for Muslims to stay together. Allah said, “Those who disagree in the Book are far from guidance. It is important for Muslims to stay united. We are commanded to go to the Qur’an and the Sunnah when we disagree.” In Karim, there is a command for Muslims to stay connected.
Imam said: Good morals create a place in the hearts of others, it is important for Muslims to have good morals, the purpose of the holy Shariat is for Muslims to connect with each other, it is said not to commit polytheism, treat your parents well. Do not cooperate in sinful activities, cooperate in piety, Satan wants to create division among Muslims, religion has all the teachings that keep Muslims together, Sharia commands that those who quarrel should be explained, it says. The Ummah is one, following the command of Allah.
