Haleem Adil Sheikh’s nomination papers for Karachi’s NA-238 rejected
PTI leader’s lawyer announced to challenge the RO’s decision in the Sindh High Court (SHC)
PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh’s nomination papers for NA-238 Karachi were rejected on Tuesday.
As reported, the returning officer (RO) of NA-238 Karachi rejected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh after three constituency residents filed objections against him.
Reacting to the development, the spokesperson of the Provincial President of PTI Sindh and Former Leader of Opposition in the Sindh Assembly said that Haleem Adil Sheikh had submitted the form at Karachi’s NA 238, but his nomination papers have been rejected by the Election Commission.
Haleem Adil Shaikh’s lawyer said that the rating officer verbally told Haleem Adil Shaikh is accused of the incidents of May 9.
Meanwhile, Adil’s lawyer announced to challenge the RO’s decision in the Sindh High Court (SHC), adding that the Election Commission’s decision is illegal, and he hopes for justice from the courts.
It is sad but not surprising that the election commission continues to remain biased, the ROs in Sindh specially are working as an extension of the PPP rule in Sindh, a party that has continued to victimize Haleem Adil Sheikh throughout their tenure.
