Hamas is a product of Israeli PM Netanyahu, Jemima Goldsmith asserts

Jemima Goldsmith in a latest statement condemned both Hamas and Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu for lack of peace in Gaza.

The renowned British filmmaker Jemima Khan asserted that Hamas, the Palestinian resistance group, is a product of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Posting a statement on X-platform, that included some historical facts, Jemima said: Can we please not forget that Netanyahu historically supported & empowered Hamas in order to sabotage any possibility of a two-state solution & peace?

‘Netanyahu reportedly said in 2019- “Those who want to thwart the possibility of a Palestinian state should support the strengthening of Hamas and the transfer of money to Hamas.”

Former Israeli PM Ehud Barak said in 2019, “Netanyahu’s strategy is to keep Hamas alive and kicking … even at the price of abandoning the citizens (of the south ) … because it is easier with Hamas to explain to Israelis that there is no one to sit with and no one to talk to”

The former head of Shin Bet, Yuval Diskin, said in 2013, “If we look at it over the years, one of the main people contributing to Hamas’s strengthening has been Bibi Netanyahu, since his first term as PM”

So yes- unequivocally condemn Hamas. But condemn Netanyahu as well. Neither wants peace.’
