Former Member of National Assembly Ali Wazir and Iman Mazari were produced in the anti-terrorism court in a case registered under terrorism charges.

Imaan Mazari, Ali Wazir have been sent on a three-day physical remand on Monday!

As reported, Judge Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain of an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad handed human rights lawyer Imaan Mazari and Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader Ali Wazir into police custody on a three-day physical remand.

Judge ordered that the PTM leader and rights lawyer be presented before the court again on August 24.

Former Member of the National Assembly Ali Wazir and Iman Mazari were produced in the anti-terrorism court in a case registered under terrorism charges.

The prosecution had sought a 10-day physical remand of the suspects in a case pertaining to sedition, intimidation, and inciting people.

The cases against them were registered after they delivered a controversial speech at a recent PTM public rally in the federal capital.

Today’s hearing:

Former member of the National Assembly Ali Wazir was brought to the court with his face covered with a cloth.

As Wazir came to the rostrum and maintained that there was nothing wrong with his speech at the public gathering.

“We said we want to convey our message to Islamabad,” he said.

Ali Wazir mistakenly called the judge of the anti-terrorism court as a speaker, on which Judge Abul Hasnaat said it was ok and there was nothing wrong.

“I am also listening, you can call me a speaker, this is our own country, and our survival is directly linked with its existence. This is a lovely country,” the judge remarked.

Prosecutor Raja Naveed told the court that they had to trace out co-accused in the case through Mazari and Wazir.
