Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi indicted in £190m reference

During the proceeding, the two accused pleaded not guilty.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi have been indicted in a £190 million graft reference, also previously known as the Al-Qadir Trust case, filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday.

Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana conducted the hearing at Adiala jail where the PTI founder Imran Khan is currently incarcerated in Toshakhana, cypher and illegal marriage cases.

During the proceeding of the court, the two accused pleaded not guilty.

The charge sheet was read by the accountability court judge in Imran Khan and Bushra’s presence in the courtroom. 

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Deputy Prosecutor Sardar Muzaffar Abbasi and his team also appeared in the court. 

The judge adjourned proceedings till March 6 and summoned the five witnesses to record their statements at the next hearing.
