Israel kills 500 civilians at Gaza Hospital; The world condemns airstrike

‘Outraged and deeply saddened’, ‘Absolutely unacceptable’, that's all what they can say

At least 500 people were killed on Tuesday night in Israeli airstrike targeting the al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City.

As Israel kills Palestinian civilians, the world condemns the strike while supporting Israel without highlighting the war crime!

Following the attack, the Gaza health ministry says at least 200 people have been killed in what it described as an Israeli airstrike on the al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City.

“Two hundred to 300 displaced people killed in occupation (Israeli) strikes on the yard” of the hospital in central Gaza, the ministry said. “Hundreds of victims are still under the rubble,” it added.

As reported many of the women and children had taken refuge at the hospital since Israel started bombing the area in response to an attack by Hamas on southern Israeli communities on October 7.

On the other hand, Israel’s military has denied involvement!

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has blamed “barbaric terrorists” for the attack, stating that the strike was the result of a rocket misfired by the Islamic Jihad militant group.

The Palestinian health ministry in a statement issued on Tuesday said that around 3,000 people — many of them women and children — had embraced martyrdom and 12,500 wounded in Gaza since October 7.

“An analysis of IDF (Israeli Defence Force) operational systems indicates that a barrage of rockets was fired by terrorists in Gaza, passing in close proximity to the Al Ahli hospital in Gaza at the time it was hit,” a spokesperson for the IDF said in a statement.

“Intelligence from multiple sources we have in our hands indicates that Islamic Jihad is responsible for the failed rocket launch which hit the hospital in Gaza.”

The UN, The US, France, Canada, The African Union, Jordan, Egypt, and others have condemned Israel for the airstrike at the al Ahli hospital in Gaza, but Israel denies it, alleging the Palestinian Islamic Jihad is responsible.

World condemns Gaza hospital strike

The UN human rights chief said the deadly strike on a hospital in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday is “totally unacceptable”, insisting that the perpetrators must be held to account.

“Words fail me. Tonight, hundreds of people were killed – horrifically – in a massive strike at Al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City, including patients, healthcare workers, and families that had been seeking refuge in and around the hospital. Once again the most vulnerable. This is totally unacceptable,” Volker Turk said in a statement.

US President Joe Biden who arrived in Israel on Wednesday, beginning a visit to consult on the spiraling Gaza war, said in his official statement that he was “outraged and deeply saddened by the explosion at the Al Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza, and the terrible loss of life that resulted”.

POTUS mentioned that he spoke with King Abdullah II of Jordan and Israeli PM Netanyahu and directed his “ national security team to continue gathering information about what exactly happened“.

“The United States stands unequivocally for the protection of civilian life during conflict and we mourn the patients, medical staff, and other innocents killed or wounded in this tragedy,” he added.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said, “I’m horrified by the loss of life at Al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza. My thoughts are with those who lost loved ones. It is imperative that innocent civilians be protected and international law upheld. Together, we must determine what happened. There must be accountability.”

France also “firmly” condemned a deadly strike on a Gaza hospital, blamed by Hamas on Israel, which it denied, 11 days into the war triggered by the militant group’s attack on Israeli soil.

“International humanitarian law is binding on all and must allow for the protection of civilian populations. Humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip must be opened without delay,” the foreign ministry said in a statement.

Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev in a statement posted on Telegram said that the act was “clearly a war crime”.

“The final responsibility for it lies with those who cynically make money from wars in different countries and on different continents. Who thoughtlessly distributes colossal amounts of money for weapons, loading up their military-industrial complex. Who falsely proclaims their global mission to protect democratic values. USA.”

The African Union chief Moussa Faki Mahamat accused Israel of a “war crime” following the deadly strike on a hospital in the Gaza Strip.

“There are no words to fully express our condemnation of Israel’s bombing of a #Gaza hospital today, killing hundreds of people,” Faki said on X, formerly Twitter, calling for the international community to act.
