As reported some unidentified armed men opened fire at former Governor Punjab Latif Khosa’s house in the Defence area of Lahore late Thursday night.

Latif Khosa remained safe in the gun attack.

The attackers managed to escape while his driver sustained bullet wounds.

The veteran Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) politician sharing the details said he was hearing a client’s case at home when his driver entered and told him about being shot.

He said that the bullets penetrated the main gate and hit the cars parked inside the house due to which his driver got injured.

“Kalashnikov was used to fire at my house. Such tactics won’t work. We stand with the chief justice,” he added.

Following the incident, SP Cantt Owais Shafique along with a heavy contingent of police reached the house of former Governor Punjab Latif Khosa.

According to the police, gunmen launched seven fires at Khosa’s home.

The bullets, one of which injured the driver, hit the car piercing through the residence’s door, the police added.

The police are using closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to identify the attackers.
