Pakistani actor Mehwish Hayat comes forward voicing her support for the NA resolution to hang child rapists publicly.

It was yesterday when the National Assembly passed the resolution demanding public hanging for child rapists, tabled by Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Mohammad Khan.

However, this resolution has left the public opinion divided, including two of the federal ministers who openly criticized the act of adopting this resolution.

Since then, #HangChildRapist debate is being carried out on social media. Many of the celebrities have also come forward to express their views over the matter.

The recent to take it to social media is Mehwish Hayat, who has openly supported the resolution despite the open criticism by federal ministers Fawad Chaudhry and Sheerin Mazari

Mehwish Hayat in twitter post shared, “Strange when these rapes & murders of children are reported, we all call for the perpetrators 2 be hung in public. When the govt agrees we all begin 2 hide behind “human right violations”. Unfortunate as it is, we need strong deterrents to stop this rot in society”.

The National Assembly’s resolution calling for the public hanging of convicted child killers and rapists has sparked a new debate across the country, with each person to share his own point of view.
