NAB arrests Asif Ali Zardari in fake bank accounts case

NAB has arrested Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.

Reportedly, Asif Zardari will be shifted to NAB Rawalpindi from Zardari House amid tight security.

Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Bhutto, besides several Pakistan Peoples Party leaders, were present outside Zardari House.

The former president will be produced before the court tomorrow where NAB will seek his remand.

The NAB team arrived at Zardari House hours after Islamabad High Court bench comprising Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Moshin Akhtar Kayani rejected a plea by Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur seeking an extension in their interim bail in the fake bank accounts case.

Earlier the team of NAB officials arrived at Parliament House to inform the National Assembly Speaker of Asif Ali Zardari’s arrest warrants.
