The popular Netflix original series Sacred Games recently announced its season 2. But it seems to be in jeopardy after the news came out that Varun Grover, the co-writer of the series, has been accused of sexual harassment.

Netflix has a very strict policy against sexual harassment and this might effect the new season. Amid speculations regarding the show’s future, Netflix said in a statement, “At this time we are evaluating options on the path forward.”

Stand-up comedian and writer, Varun Grover, best known for writing the critically-acclaimed 2015 film Masaan, which starred Vicky Kaushal, has thoroughly denied all such allegations.

“I completely, totally, categorically deny all the allegations being made. The screenshot in question is untrue, misleading, and defamatory to say the least. Issuing a detailed statement soon,” he tweeted.

He also shared detailed account for clarifying his name!

Sacred Games was Netflix’s first original in India. It has been lauded by the international audience and has been critically acclaimed as well. Netflix had already announced that Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan would be directing the series with Vikramaditya Motwane being the show-runner for the season 2.
