Pakistan to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha on August 1 as Zilhajj moon not sighted on Tuesday.

Chairman Ruet e Hilal Committee made the announcement after presiding the meeting in Karachi.

The moon of Zil-Hajj has not been seen in Pakistan. The first Zil-Hajj in the country will be on July 23 and Eid-ul-Adha on August 1.

The meeting was attended by members of the Central and Zonal Vision Committees.

The meeting was also attended by officials of the Meteorological Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs, and experts.

Speaking after the meeting, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman said that no evidence of sighting of the moon was received from all over the country.
