Pakistan to start Covid-19 vaccination drive in April 2021
Pakistan will launch a Covid-19 vaccination drive in April, the second quarter of 2021.
Dr. Nausheen Hamid, parliamentary secretary on Health on Wednesday said that all the citizens will be provided vaccination free of charge.
Taking to social media, the Health Secretary in a tweet said, “the PTI government will provide the coronavirus vaccine free of cost to the people. The government will start the vaccination from the second quarter of 2021.”

Earlier, while talking to a news channel, Dr. Hamid said that the federal cabinet had approved initial funds to purchase the vaccine.
According to Dr. Hamid, the Phase 3 clinical trials of Chinese vaccines were proceeding smoothly, and hopefully, the vaccines would be ready for the general public soon.
She also assured that the vaccine would be available in the market, “once its efficacy proved”.
