Pakistani rupee plunges to a new historic low of Rs173 against the US Dollar on Monday.

The greenback gained a hefty Rs1.82 by noon against the Pakistani currency in the inter-bank trading,

The rupee was being traded at Rs173 against the dollar at 12:37 pm compared to the previous session’s close.

The Pakistani rupee was closed at Rs171.18 when the trading closed on Friday evening.

The sudden surge in the dollar’s value is being regarded as a concerning matter.
