PDM sit-in: JUI-F workers enter Islamabad’s Red Zone
Govt appeals Maulana Fazl not to stage sit-in outside Supreme Court

A large number of JUI-F activists and supporters on Monday entered the Red Zone to stage the sit-in announced by PDM president Maulana Fazalur Rehman.
The visuals emerging from the site showed JUI-F activists and supporters scaling a gate and overcoming other obstructions to reach the Red Zone.
However, no decision has been taken as yet on whether the sit-in will be held outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan or elsewhere.
As reported, Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUIF) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who is also the head of the PDM, will lead the sit-in by the PDM.
JUI Spokesperson Aslam Ghori said that a request had been submitted to DC Islamabad for a sit-in outside the Supreme Court.
“We have previously conducted Million March, Azadi March, and other programs. Government ministers had a meeting with us about the change of venue but we have told them that our protest will be peaceful and no there will be no change of venue,” said the spokesperson.
Meanwhile, Islamabad Police say the situation in the federal capital is peaceful despite the failure of talks with JUI-F
