PM Shehbaz Sharif will dissolve the National Assembly on Aug 9!
At farewell for allies on Thursday evening, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif revealed that he will dissolve the National Assembly on Aug 9, three days before the incumbent assembly’s term is scheduled to end.
At a dinner reception hosted in honour of the ruling allies at the Prime Minister’s House, the premier shared this information and apprised the participants that the ruling PML-N had finalized consultations within the party.
The premier added that he is hopeful that the consultation would end within two to three days.
As reported, the prime minister will begin a final round of discussions with allies on the caretaker set-up today (Friday), a process which is expected to take at least three days.
It was reported last month that PM Shehbaz Sharif constituted a five-member committee of the PML-N to hold consultations on the selection of a caretaker premier and dissolution of the National Assembly.
