Islamabad police shared the details of the "Fact-Finding Inquiry Regarding the Local Police Raid at Barrister Gohar's Residence."

Islamabad police suspended five officers for carrying out a raid at Barrister Gohar Khan’s house in the federal capital.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Islamabad police notified that five officers including Margalla Police Station SHO have been suspended a day after a mistaken raid at the residence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan.

Islamabad police in a post on X-platform shared the details of the “Fact-Finding Inquiry Regarding the Local Police Raid at Barrister Gohar’s Residence.”

“On January 13, at 2:00 pm, the local police reached F-7/2 to apprehend a proclaimed offender on the tip of an informer. When the police party came to know that the said house was the residence of Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Chairman PTI, the raiding police party came back immediately,” Islamabad police said.

“Barrister Gohar Ali Khan complained to the Honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan against the said raid by the local police. The Honourable Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan summoned the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) and ordered an investigation into the matter,” it added.

“The honourable court directed the ICCPO to personally hear the grievance of Chairman PTI about the incident,” ICT Police said.
