Ruet-e-Hilal committee to meet today for Shawwal moon sighting in Pakistan.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee (RHC) meeting will be held in Islamabad today, while the zonal committees would meet in their respective areas.
The meeting will take place under the chair of RHC Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, according to an earlier statement issued by the committee.
The central committee will gather witnesses from across the country.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Meteorological Department predicted that Pakistan will likely observe Eid ul Fitr on Friday.
The new moon of Shawwal would be born on crossing conjunction point at “00-01 PST on 12-05-2021,” met office said.
The weather is expected to be fair/partly cloudy in most parts of the country, the Met department added.

According to astronomical parameters, there is No Chance of sighting the new moon of Shawwal,1442 AH on the evening of 12-05-2021 i.e. on 29th of Ramzan, 1442 AH#Moonsighting pic.twitter.com/VbEXHK5vy3
If the moon is not sighted on Wednesday, Ramadan 29, then the holy month will extend to 30 days, and Eid will be celebrated on May 14, Friday.
