Saudi authorities probe semi-naked Samba dancers at the Jazan Winter Festival 2022!
As being reported, the governor of the Jazan region directed an immediate investigation into the participation of dancers in semi-naked clothes in the activities of the Jizan Winter Festival 2022.
State-run El-Ekhbariya TV aired footage of the festival, however, the images of the women dancing were blurred.
Women, whose nationality hasn’t been disclosed, were decorated with the colorful feathers typical of the Brazilian Carnival.
Jazan, well known in Saudi Arabia for its conservatism, has not witnessed such performances in recent times.

In the past five years, on the initiative of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia, entertainment offers for citizens have seen a significantly expanded version. The new offers include major sporting events, concerts, and film festivals.
The incident has sparked outrage and many social media users were indignant, demanding punishment for those responsible for the event.
Many tweets that criticized the dance performance have been taken down or removed.
