The Sindh government on Wednesday directed transporters to reduce fares following the drop in diesel prices!
The provincial authority in a letter to the transporters said, “The Government of Pakistan has recently reduced the prices of P.O.L as well as Diesel prices reduced by Rs.30/- per litre in the country.”
“You are hereby directed to decrease the fares of public service vehicles immediately and in case of failure strict action will be initiated,” it added.
The federal government announced dropping petrol price to Rs272 per litre, diesel Rs258 per litre, kerosene to Rs164.07 per litre, and light diesel oil to Rs152.68 per litre.
The rates of petroleum products (POL) have been slashed by up to RS30 per litre, as the government “tries to give relief to the masses during every fortnightly review”, Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Ishaq Dar said.
