Usman Buzdar steps down, Pervaiz Elahi has been nominated next CM Punjab on Monday!
Following the no-confidence motion in Punjab, Chief Minister Usman Bazdar tendered his resignation to the Prime Minister.
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib shared a brief account of today’s development in Punjab via a tweet.
“Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi had a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan, in which all matters were settled. PML-Q expresses confidence in PM and announces support He further added that Chief Minister Usman Bazdar had tendered his resignation to the Prime Minister,” Farrukh Habib tweeted.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to nominate Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as the new Chief Minister of Punjab,” Habib added.

On the other hand, Dr. Shahbaz Gul, Special Assistant to PM Imran Khan, said in a statement on the social networking site Twitter that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will support Chaudhry Pervez Elahi as Chief Ministerial candidate. PML-Q announces support to PM in the no-confidence motion.
