The weather turns pleasant after a dust storm and light rain hit several parts of Karachi on Tuesday evening.

The metropolis has been facing extreme hot weather for the past few days due to the suspension of sea breeze under the influence of the tropical cyclone Tauktae in the Arabian sea.

As per the MET Department, the rains are likely to stop and storm clouds will disappear after two to three hours.

Following the duststorm, a number of Karachiites took to social media to share a weather update.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan Meteorological Department shared the last update on cyclone

The Met Office said that the “very severe cyclonic storm” intensified into an “extremely severe cyclonic storm” and crossed Indian Gujarat and later weakened into a “severe cyclonic storm” laying over Rajasthan, India.

A few dust/thunderstorm-rain accompanied with gusty winds of 30-50 kmph may occur in Tharparkar and Umerkot districts in the next 12 hours, PMD said in its alert.
