The schedule for the much anticipated cricketing event men’s Asia Cup 2023 was announced on Wednesday.
Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Jay Shah on Wednesday released the schedule of the much-awaited men’s Asia Cup minutes before the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was set to formally host an event of the unveiling.
The 50-over format tournament will be held from August 30 to September 17 with hosts Pakistan staging four matches and Sri Lanka holding nine matches as per the hybrid model.
Shah, who is also the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), tweeted: “I am happy to announce the schedule for the highly anticipated Men’s ODI #AsiaCup2023, a symbol of unity and togetherness binding diverse nations together! Let’s join hands in the celebration of cricketing excellence and cherish the bonds that connect us all.”

Group A – Pakistan (A1), India (A2), and Nepal (Nepal will take position of the side, which fails to progress to the Super-4 stage)
Group B – Sri Lanka (B1), Bangladesh (B2) and Afghanistan (Afghanistan will take position of the side, which fails to progress to the Super-4 stage)
