India and Bangladesh shared the trophy after the series ended 1-1 while Kaur was outraged over her dismissal in the final ODI.

Harmanpreet Kaur vented her frustration at being given out lbw by smashing her bat into the stumps in a dramatic ODI series decider between India and Bangladesh today (July 22).

Later Harmanpreet Kaur’s ‘pathetic umpiring’ comment after the tied 3rd ODI against Bangladesh became the heat of the moment.

At the post-match talk, Aarmanpreet Kaur said “The kind of umpiring that was happening we were very surprised – the next time we come to Bangladesh we will make sure we have to deal with this type of umpiring & prepare ourselves”.

When the end-of-series photograph was being taken, Bangladesh-W captain Nigar Sultana and her team left the photo session after Indian-W captain Harmanpreet Kaur told them, -“Why you are only here? You haven’t tied the match. The umpires did it for you. Call them up! We better have a photo with them as well.”

Under the ICC Code of Conduct, Article 2.2 covers “Abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an International Match,” which makes specific reference to “any action(s) outside the course of normal cricket actions, such as hitting or kicking the wickets”.

If the match referee deems Harmanpreet Kaur has breached Article 2.2, she could face adding Suspension Points to her record and/or a fine from her match fee.
