Yunhi Episode-14 Review: Kim makes a deal with Dawood

Hum Tv drama serial Yunhi is one aesthetically appealing Prime Time Watch. The story and characters started growing on us although still it is not clear why Kim married Dawood. In the previous episode, we have seen that Kim and Dawood are getting close and their chemistry starts brewing. In this episode, we see Kim making a deal with Dawood regarding their married life and also Kim opens up with Dawood about her troubling past.

Basharat calls Dawood and very generously he hands over Dawood 5 lacs rupees and asks him to take Kim on shopping. He wants Dawood to get her a new laptop and mobile phone. Well, one wonders why Basharat is being that generous with his money 5 Lacs is quite an amount. It makes me wonder that Dr Naveed must have given him the money in dollars which is why he is so happily spending it on Kim. We see that Dr Naveed survives that heart attack in the US but still, he is not contacting his family.

I really don’t like the way Razia is being treated by her husband and at times by her father-in-law. Poor lady hardly gets any appreciation but despite all that insult and snubbing all the time she has not turned into a toxic character her demeanor is so endearing and well portrayed by Tahira Imam. Kim rightly points out why Basharat is reluctant to appreciate or praise his wife in public instead of snubbing her openly all the time.

Surraiya’s love interest is not as time pass.  The boy seems serious with her and he tells her that he has already talked about her to his mother. It seems that Surraiya is not ready for this at all. Poor Surraiya has no support in that conservative family she tries to open up with her Bali Phuppo but her attitude is so unwelcoming this should not be the right attitude towards girls when they try to open up with you. Surraiya changes the topic and does not share her concern with her phuppo but Kim has heard her talking with her boyfriend on the phone.

We are kinda missing Daniyal in this episode. Dawood takes Kim out for shopping and dinner. Kim is a bit moved by Dawood but she clearly tells Dawood that she will never going to change. She makes a deal with Dawood that if she will get influenced by him she will not leave him but if she does not he cannot stop her and till then they will live like friends. Well, Kim is asking too much from him. We see a vulnerable side of Kim when she opens up about her troubling past it is hinted that she might get abused by her Islamiyat house teacher at home as a child in the US. There is so much we now want to know about Kim. Totally invested in Kim and Dawood’s story.
