Mannat Murad Overview: Drama concludes with Murad finally taking a stand for his wife

Drama producers try to sell old wine in a new bottle

Mannat Murad, Geo Entertainment’s trending drama final concluded on a happy note.

It could have been better if, for the last two episodes, only important sequences had been shot instead of including heavy flashbacks.

Thank God we were able to see spineless  Murad (Talha Chahour) taking a stand for his wife Mannat (Iqra Aziz) in front of his mother (Isra Gazal) and sisters’s influenced family.

The last episode particularly stood out as drama fans had eagerly been waiting to see the moment when egging Murad could speak up for his wife Mannat against his mother.

The conclusion was somewhat predicted from the moment we saw Mannat’s bachelor eldest brother and Murad’s single elder sister.

Mannat’s decision to arrange a match between her elder brother and Murad’s sister, Fazeelat contributed to the happy ending of the story.

However, Murad’s youngest sister, Niggi’s story was left in limbo. Niggi has been greedy ever since seeing Manat’s third brother and was trying hard to fix her match.

The story was put forward with some loopholes, guys it’s 2024 and though drama started in 2023 showing an educated and independent girl like Mannat had fixed her goal of life to get married, didn’t sit well.

Here the local drama producers try to sell old wine in a new bottle, having the same apologetic approach for single mature women and showing exaggerated wedding sequences in the serial.

The exaggerated family tussles, newlyweds struggling to settle into their new roles and the cherry on the top scene featuring Murad and Mannat slapping each other were burdensome to watch.

We lack progressive stories and this should not be taken lightly as Pakistani dramas can influence millions across the globe.
