Ertugrul’s actor Celal Al joins huge crowds to pray for first time at Hagia Sophia

Famed Turkish actor Celal Al, who played Abdur Rehman Alp in Diriliş: Ertuğrul has joined thousands on Friday for the first prayers at Hagia Sophia in 86 years.

The Turkish actor took to Instagram sharing a couple of pictures from inside the Hagia Sophia.

Celal Al captioned his post in Turkish language, said that he has a faith that the conversion of Hagia Sophia into a mosque would pave the pay for the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Hagia Sophia was the biggest cathedral in the world for 900 years until its capture by Ottoman Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror in 1453, later it became one of Islam’s most exalted mosques for nearly another 500 years.
