Nadia Jamil is battling with breast cancer

The actress announced about the recent diagnosis of her disease in a tweet this morning.

In an unfortunate turn of events, popular TV actor and  host Nadia Jamil has revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer recently.

The Damsa actress shared the sad news with fans via Twitter this morning and also assured them that she has started with the treatment of the disease.

“Last week I was diagnosed with cancer and now I’m four days into treatment.”

Nadia also shared all her pent up emotions that she has been experiencing since she found out about her health condition.

She wrote, “In the last few days I have felt all sorts of feelings, from apprehension, fear, unbeatable love to calmness and acceptance. Patience, overwhelming gratitude and a deep sense of responsibility towards my children, parents, loved ones, myself and you.”

Describing details of her disease, she said that it was on currently on stage 1.

“Its stage 1 breast cancer and grade 3 tumour. Regular self checks are important ladies! Please act fast if you feel any abnormalities.”

Jamil then concluded with a much needed health message, asking all women to not ignore the signs their bodies are giving them.

“Do NOT ever ignore your body, your health. I now await my surgery date and am feeling positive and loved.”

“Please don’t worry and take good care of yourselves,” she said.

She also informed her followers that she won’t be as active on Twitter as she usually is because she gets really tired these days and needs to reserve her strength to battle the illness.

I may not be able to be as regular answering all your tweets to me. Sorry!” wrote Nadia.

“Sometimes I get very tired. Then I realise I need to reserve my strength so I can fight this illness and can eventually wave bye bye to my cancer… I cannot hate it. This too is teaching me some wonderful lessons!”
