Shoaib Malik retires from ODI cricket amidst warm wishes from team mates and celebs

Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib Malik, announced his retirement from One Day International cricket today following Pakistan’s World Cup Qualifier match with Bangladesh.

Malik started his one-day international against West Indies in 1999 and his career spanned 20 years.Alongside the current 2019 World Cup, Shoaib Malik also featured in the 2007 World Cup in West Indies, and a total of five editions of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

He shared a heartfelt message on Twitter today, after announcing his retirement, “Today I retire from One Day International cricket. Huge Thank you to all the players I have played with, coaches I have trained under, family, friends, media, and sponsors. Most importantly my fans, I love you all,
