Netflix unveils George Clooney’s first look from post-apocalyptic drama The Midnight Sky
Netflix has unveiled the official preview of its upcoming drama The Midnight Sky, starring Clooney as Augustine.
Clooney sprouts a luscious beard as he is playing a lonely scientist in the Arctic racing to stop a group of fellow astronauts (led by Felicity Jones) from returning to earth after a global catastrophe decimates humanity.
And the first look from the film says it all, a lonely man in the middle ages who has grown his salt-and-pepper beard.
According to the film’s synopsis, “This post-apocalyptic tale follows the parallel stories of Augustine (Clooney), a lonely scientist in the Arctic, as he races to make contact with the crew of the Aether spacecraft as they try to return home to Earth.”

Alongside starring in the film, the Oscar-winning actor and filmmaker is also directing and producing the upcoming adaptation of Lily Brooks-Dalton’s 2016 novel Good Morning, Midnight.
The film also stars David Oyelowo, Tiffany Boone, Demián Bichir, Kyle Chandler, and newcomer Caoilinn Springall
The Midnight Sky is slated to premiere on Netflix in December.
