Son of Newspaper Hawker Secures First Position in Intermediate Commerce

In a piece of rather pleasant news, the son of a newspaper hawker from Karachi has secured the first position in the intermediate commerce board, scoring 969 marks out of a total of 1100. Anas Habib, a student of Tabani’s College North Nazimabad campus, beat 43,021 students to make his father Muhammad Habib proud.

“I own a newspaper stall near Empress Market, Saddar and I’ve been working as a newspaper hawker for 50 years,” said Habib while talking to reporters.

“My son has fulfilled my dreams and made me proud,” he added.

Habib shared that he faced a lot of financial constraints in order to make his children study but he did not compromise. He also encouraged Anas to work hard to create a better future for himself.

“After Matriculation in Science, I thought of becoming a doctor, but gradually my mind diverted,” said Anas while adding further, “I have started CA and plan to appear in the CSS examination after that.”

Two more students of Tabani’s secured second and third position in the board exams 2019. Muzammil Ahmed Khan with 965 marks and Urooba Bint-E-Riaz with 949 marks stood second and third respectively.
