Newlyweds Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz are currently the favorites for news as the two shared their wedding journey with fans on social media. Soon after the wedding, the bride and groom – quite active on social media – started pouring in deets from their big day and shared beautiful photos of the wedding.
However, one photograph and its caption, in particular, caught our attention as Yasir spilled words of wisdom on how he and his lady love got married without going overboard on dowry and gifts.
“Bhaiyon aur behno.. shadi itni mushkil cheez nahi hai jitna hum ne mil k usy bana dia hai (brothers and sisters, getting married isn’t as difficult as we have made it to be),” said the Karachi Se Lahore actor on his Instagram.
(I had to arrange the wedding at home but due to small space, shifted to an outside venue. We didn’t give unnecessary gifts to each other’s families, nor exchanged dowry from either side. Didn’t spend unnecessarily on jewelry).”
“Nikah khwan k 8000 aur khana hasb e istetaat (Rs8000 for the cleric and food as per our convenience),” he further wrote.
“Shadi bus yehi hai. Apny gher walon pe rehem karen aur Shadi ko asaan banaen (this is what wedding is. Please help yourself and make weddings easier),” the actor concluded.
While in the past Yasir has been criticized many times for his statements, we can’t help but laud him for his recent lesson on how to get married. Here’s wishing a blissful married life to the two.
