Bushra Bibi’s interim bail in Toshakhana Case extended till Sept 12
Bushra Bibi along with her counsel appeared in the Islamabad court of Additional Session Judge Taher Abbas Supra today.
Bushra Bibi’s interim bail in the Toshakhana Case has been extended till September 12!
The development comes on Thursday, as Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Supra conducted a hearing of the Toshakhana case against Bushra Bibi at the District and Sessions Court Islamabad.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi appeared before the court along with lawyers Salman Safdar, Intizar Panjotha, and Naeem Panjotha.
During today’s hearing, the investigating officer stated in the court that he wanted the arrest of the former first lady.
The investigation officer said that Bushra Bibi’s audio had been sent to FIA for forensics.
The petitioner’s lawyer maintained they were called and kept sitting for three hours. He said they had clarified to the investigation officer that the said audio was not of Bushra Bibi.
The court inquired if the matter pertained to receipts, so why the audio leak was being discussed. The court then asked the prosecution lawyer to proceed further in the case according to FIR.
The investigating officer said that the court was requested to give time for the voice matching of Bushra Bibi.
District and Sessions Court Islamabad accepted the request of the investigating officer.
Subsequently, the court approved the request for additional time for investigation and scheduled the next hearing for September 12.
The court extended Bushra Bibi’s interim bail until that date.
