COAS condems PSX attack, pays tribute to martyred security guards

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar javed Bajwa have condemned the attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange the struck by terrorists on Monday morning in Karachi. The Army Chief paid tribute to the security guards of the Pakistan Security Exchange (PSX), who laid down their lives trying to foil the heinous attempt of fanatics.

According to a statement released by the DG ISPR, the army chief lauded the LEAs, including Rangers and Sindh Police, for their operational readiness and prompt response.

The Army Chief was quoted as saying by the DG ISPR in a Tweet, “With support of our resilient nation, we will foil all efforts of enemies aimed at destabilizing hard earned peace achieved through sacrifices of our martyrs”.

The PSX in Karachi came under a terrorist attack on Monday morning, as the four-armed terrorists who had arrived in a sedan and attempted to storm the stock exchange compound from its parking side. They threw grenades after which they entered the building and opened fire.

However, with the timely response of Rapid Response Force Sindh Police, the terrorists were successfully neutralized.
