Daniel Craig hits the gym in a leg cast following Bond 25 injury

British actor Daniel Craig has been away from the sets of Bond 25 since getting injured. However, the 007 star will resume the shooting next week, reportedly.

The official Instagram 007 has revealed how hard Daniel Craig is sweating it out in the gym with leg cast after he injured his ankle during, trying to get back in shape to start shooting again.

The 007 Instagram page posted a picture of the 51-year-old actor working out on Saturday, with a caption saying “#007 Daniel Craig hitting the gym hard @pinewoodstudios, prepping for shooting next week! #Bond25 @gregwilliamsphotography”.

Craig was operated following an injury while filming the upcoming Bond film and reportedly has been seen using crutches alongside the leg cast.

The film’s Twitter account last month in a statement said that “(Craig’s) undergoing minor ankle surgery resulting from an injury sustained during filming in Jamaica”.

“Production will continue whilst Craig is rehabilitating for two weeks’ post-surgery. The film remains on track for the same release date in April 2020.”

This is not the first time that Craig has sustained an injury on the sets of a Bond film, as he performs his own stunts.

Craig got knee injury while shooting a fight scene for his most recent outing ‘Spectre’.

During his first stunt scene for his Bond debut in Casino Royale, he had his two teeth knocked out, and also suffered a number of injuries during 2008’s Quantum of Solace, one of which required surgery on his shoulder.

Bond 25 hits theaters on April 8, 2020.
