The script is written by Michael Green (“Logan”), J.D. Payne, and Patrick McKay. The theme park attraction was part of the 1955 opening of Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
The film is set in during World War I, where Johnson is portraying a riverboat captain who takes a scientist and her brother on a mission into a jungle to find a tree believed to possess healing powers. This film is being reported to be inspired by “The African Queen” starring Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn.
