Grand Mufti of Pakistan Maulana Rafi Usmani passes away
Muhammad Rafi Usmani has been serving as the President of Darul 'Uloom Karachi.
Grand Mufti of Pakistan Maulana Rafi Usmani passed away on Friday in Karachi aged 86.
Muhammad Rafi Usmāni was a Pakistani Muslim scholar, jurist and author who served as the President of Darul Uloom Karachi.
He was an alumnus of Darul Uloom Deoband, University of the Punjab and the Darul Uloom Karachi.
Mufti-e-Azam Maulana Rafi Usmani was the elder brother of the Islamic university’s Vice President Maulana Mufti Taqi Usmani and the son of Pakistan’s former grand mufti Shafi Usmani.
As reported he has been unwell for the past few days with high fever and weakness.
