Hilary Duff is all set to return as Lizzie McGuire in all new series at Disney+

Disney+ launches in the U.S. on November 12.

Hilary Duff will be reprising the role as Lizzie in an all-new Lizzie McGuire series which is coming to Disney+.

Hilary Duff has shared the news that she would revive her role as Lizzie McGuire on her Instagram page Friday night by posting a video compilation of moments from the original Disney Channel show.

When the world met Lizzie (and her sassy, animated inner voice), she was 13 years old. But when we see her next, she will be in her 30s, tells Duff.

Disney+ also made the announcement in a tweet:

President and Chief Creative Officer for Disney Channels Worldwide, Gary Marsh announced that the original creator of the series Terri Minsky is also returning.

“It was a cultural phenomenon, especially for millennials. Lizzie McGuire was the voice of her generation and we wanted this Lizzie to be the voice of her generation, Marsh said.

“We couldn’t and we wouldn’t do this series without you,” he added.

Duff said that it was great to be home.  While giving a snapshot of her character’s life, Duff told: “The good news is that just like me and everyone who grew up with her, Lizzie is also grown up.

She is older, wiser and has a much bigger shoe budget, which is exciting. She has her dream job, kind of a perfect life right now.

She is working as an apprentice to a fancy New York City decorator and she has her dream guy, who owns a cool SoHo restaurant.

She has a dream apartment in Brooklyn and she is getting ready to celebrated her 30 birthday”.
