IHC has declared Imran Khan’s arrest legal in the Al-Qadir Trust case!

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) announcing the reserved verdict on Imran Khan’s arrest from court premises on Tuesday, termed the arrested of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman in the Al-Qadir Trust case, legal.

the IHC has reserved its verdict on the legality of Imran’s arrest, which took place around 2:15 pm local time.

Chief Justice Aamer Farooq said that if the PTI chief was arrested illegally, “he will have to be released”.

Earlier in the day, Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan has been arrested in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case for embezzling Rs60 billion.     

Talking to media in Islamabad, he said the United Kingdon’s agencies have traced ill-gotten money worth £190 million of a property tycoon, which actually belonged to the people of Pakistan.
