Karachi’s private school’s horrifying rape accounts come to light!

The head of a private school situated in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Hadeed had been using closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to blackmail the victims of rape.

Irfan Memon, the owner of a private school had raped women for several months. And ironically, no one complained.

The heinous crime was uncovered when the man who installed the security camera handed over fifty videos on his mobile phone to the police to crack down on the case.

Taking notice, the police on Monday has arrested the principal of the school.

According to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for District Malir Hassan Sardar, the head of the school used closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to blackmail the victims.

“So far, five women have come forward as victims against the suspect who is currently under investigation. We are also gathering necessary information from the victims as well,” the SSP Malir added.

The police have recovered 25 such videos from the school principal’s office, he added.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Riffat Mukhtar, taking notice of the incident, has sought a detailed report on the matter.

On the other hand, Sindh Education Minister Rana Hussain has constituted a four-member inquiry committee over the incident.

As per Additional Director Registration, the inquiry committee headed by Deputy Director Qurban Bhutto also includes Assistant Director Mumtaz Qambrani, Zaid Magsi, and Javed Qazi.

On the other hand, Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori directed Secretary of School Education Sindh Ghulam Akbar Laghari to submit a comprehensive report on the incident.

As reported, the governor has also instructed Javeed Akhter Odho — Additional IGP Karachi, to take legal action against the people involved in the heinous crime.

Furthermore, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab has also reassured of appropriate and relevant legal action over the incident.
