NAB arrests Hamza Shahbaz after bail plea rejected
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested Hamza Shahbaz after the Lahore High Court (LHC) rejected his plea for bail extension.
He is being taken to the Thokar Niaz Baig offices of the accountability watchdog.
Hamza Shahbaz, the leader of the opposition in the Punjab Assembly appeared before the court, who is being investigated by NAB in the Ramzan Sugar Mills, Saaf Pani, and assets beyond known means of income cases.
A large number of PML-N workers gathered outside the court, who chanted slogans after Hamza Shahbaz was taken into custody.
The arrest of Hamza Shahbaz came hours before the federal government presents budget proposals for the next fiscal year.

It came a day after former president Asif Ali Zardari was also arrested by NAB in fake bank accounts case.
