National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Lt Gen Muhammad Afzal has tested positive for coronavirus, it emerges on Thursday.

According to the official notification issued late Thursday, the NDMA chairman has been in quarantine since November 9 and is currently undergoing treatment.

Lt Gen Afzal will carry out his official duties from his home during quarantine, the notification added.
