Ramadan 2021: Timings for govt. offices in Pakistan announced

The federal government on Thursday has announced the Ramadan timings for the offices.

The Cabinet Secretariat Establishment Division has issued a notification confirming two different time slots for offices working for five and six days a week.

As per the notification, for offices working five days a week, the timings will be 08:00 am to 04:00 pm from Monday to Thursday.

For Fridays, the office hours will be from 08:00 am to 01:00 pm.

While the timings for offices working six days a week, the timings will be as follows:

Monday to Thursday and Saturday: 10:00 am to 03:00 pm, whereas for Fridays, the timings will be 10:00 am to 01:00 pm.

The holy month of Ramadan in Pakistan is likely to start on 14 April.

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet on April 13 to sight the moon for the holy month of Ramadan.

Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Moulana Abdul Khabir Azad has summoned the session of zonal and district committees that will take place at their respective headquarters.

This is going to the first Ramadan moon sighting session under the new chairman, Moulana Azad, who was appointed by the federal government last year in  December.

However, the Federal Minister of Science and Technology claims that the first Ramadan will be on April 14. He has made his claim before the Ruet-e-Hilal.
