Strong earthquake jolts parts of country including Islamabad, Peshawar and surrounding areas
The epicenter of the earthquake was the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan
Strong earthquake tremors jolted several parts of the country including Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore and surrounding areas.
The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 6.0 on the Richter scale.
Tremors were also felt in Sargodha, Khushab and its surroundings, Mandi Bahauddin, Bhakkar and Nowshera.
The earthquake was also felt in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Muzaffarabad and Neelum valleys.
Magnitude 6 earthquake also jolted KP cities including Peshawar, Kohat, Shabqadar, Abbottabad, Lower Dir, Mianwali, Mansehra, Battagram, Kohistan, Deerbala, Dera Ismail Khan, Hangu, Diamir, Parachinar, Bannu.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the epicentre of the earthquake was the Hindu Kush region and the depth of the quake was 213km.

According to the Seismological Centre, the epicentre of the earthquake was in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
The quake struck at 2:20 pm in Hindu KushRegion at a depth of 213km.
It had a longitude of 70.63 East and a latitude of 36.16 North.
