WhatsApp restores after facing a global outage

WhatsApp has resumed services after it struck down in Pakistan and other parts of the world on Sunday evening.

Services resumed for the instant messaging platform after more than two hours of an outage.

WhatsApp users shared their ordeal on Twitter and hashtag #Whatsappdown was trending in Pakistan.

Users reported they were unable to share multimedia including photos, videos, GIFs, and stickers on the instant messaging platform.

WhatsApp’s Status option was also not functioning properly.

According to reliable tracking websites, WhatsApp users in India, Malaysia, Brazil, Europe, and the US were affected by the outage.
