Reshuffle in PCB’s ranks; Mohammad Hafeez, Wahab Riaz assigned key roles
The PCB has appointed Sohail Tanveer as head of the junior selection team.
Reshuffle takes place in PCB’s key ranks following the national team’s humiliating exit from the World Cup 2023; the board has assigned Mohammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz key roles.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after naming new captains for the test and t20 format, in a statement said it had changed the portfolio of the entire coaching staff including Director Cricket Mickey Arthur.
“All coaches will continue to work in the National Cricket Academy while the PCB will announce the new coaching staff in due course for the upcoming series in Australia and New Zealand,” PCB stated.
PCB appointed former cricketer Mohammad Hafeez as Director Cricket.
While former pacer Wahab Riaz has been named as chief selector. This post fell vacant after Inzamaul Haq resigned from the post over allegations of conflict of interest.
Furthermore, PCB has appointed Sohail Tanveer as head of the junior selection team.
