Mohammad Hafeez steps down as PCB’s director cricket

Mohammad Hafeez has stepped down as PCB’s director of cricket!

According to the news source, the development came on Thursday after newly-appointed PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi refused to entertain Hafeez’s meeting request.

Hafeez, who replaced Mickey Arthur as director of cricket in November 2023, intended to meet the new board chief to submit his report about the tour of Australia and New Zealand.

PCB a day earlier without mentioning the particular reason confirmed Hafeez’s departure with a gratitude post on X.

“The Pakistan Cricket Board extends heartfelt gratitude to Mohammad Hafeez, Director Pakistan men’s cricket team, for his invaluable contributions,” the PCB said in a statement.

“Hafeez’s passion for the game has inspired players and his mentorship during the tour of Australia and New Zealand have been of immense importance. The PCB wishes Hafeez good luck and success in his future endeavours,” it added.
