Ashton Kutcher Freaked Out After His Date was Found Dead
On the night of February 22, 2001, a fashion design student Ashley Ellerin was stabbed 47 times in her apartment in Los Angeles, by Michael Gargiulo; Two and a Half Men famed actor Ashton Kutcher got in midst of this murder case, as the actor had a date scheduled with Ashley the same night.
After setting up a date with Ashley, Ashton reached her home presumably two hours late. However, when upon reaching the venue, the actor said he found the lights of the bunglow on, and the door locked. On his attempt to peek through the window, he saw what ‘he thought was red wine spilled on the carpet’.
“I didn’t really think anything of it,” Ashton told the jury in Los Angeles, where the case is being carried out and Ashton is a witness.
Ashton went home thinking that he had messed up the date by reaching late and Ashley is now out somewhere with friends. However, when he found out about what had happened that night he freaked out as he assumed his finger prints were all over the main door of the victim’s home.
Ashton immediately contacted the police and shared his narrative. It is now 18 years later, Michael Gargiulo is being tried for murder of Ashley and two other woman; he’s also involved in an attempt of murder of another woman.
