Here’s how Abhishek proposed to Aishwarya
The most loved couple of B-Town, Abhishek and Aishwarya tied the knot back in 2007. 11 years down the lane, Abhi-Ash’s couple is one of the strongest and most loved couple in Bollywood.
Recently, in an interview with Filmfare, Aishwarya Rai opened up about how Abhishek had proposed to her while she was filming for Jodha Akbar.
“Of course I recall,” Aishwarya said reminiscing about her engagement and how Abhishek had gone down on one knee to ask her.
The ‘Taal’ actress further added, “Ashutosh is like ‘you are engaged’ and I am like ‘yeah,’” while Duggu (Hrithik), gave her an excited thumbs up.
Aishwarya also shared that the crew was filming the Khwaja Mere Khwaja song on that particular day and how bizarre the entire experience was.
“We’re doing Khawja Mere Khwaja, sitting as a bride, and I am like, oh my god this is surreal, all happening on-screen, off-screen, this is bizarre.”
Shortly after making their engagement public, Aish and Abhi tied the knot in a private ceremony in Mumbai.
The two have appeared in Dhoom 2, Raavan, Kuch Na Kaho, Guru and a number of other movies together. Abhi-Aish are currently starring in upcoming film Gulab Jaamun alongside each other.
