Jane Fonda gets arrested during climate protest
Jane Fonda the 81-years-old Oscar-winning actress has been arrested during a climate change protest in Washington, D.C. Before her arrest, Fonda in a speech called climate change “a collective crisis that demands collective action now.”
“Today, the United States Capitol Police arrested 16 individuals for unlawfully demonstrating on the East Front of the U.S. Capitol,” said Capitol Police communications director Eva Malecki.

Fonda and 16 other people arrested will be charged with crowding, obstructing or incommoding, sayd police.
Various videos have emerged in social media showing Jane Fonda being taken into custody in handcuffs on Friday afternoon.

This is not the first time she got arrested, the celebrity star was also arrested back in 1970, in Cleveland while protesting the Vietnam War and the girl does it again this time for climate change.
However, the actress was released few hours later after the arreset. She recently told the Washington Post that she moved to D.C. so that she could be more active in urging for action against climate change, telling the publication, “We’re going to engage in civil disobedience and we’re going to get arrested every Friday”.
